Safety and Security
May ISD takes the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff very seriously. As part of our overall Multi-Hazard Emergency Operation Plan's effort to ensure a safe and secure learning and teaching environment, May ISD has implemented a Threat Assessment Program as wells as an anonymous reporting system for May ISD students to anonymously report bullying and/or cyber-bullying.
ANONYMOUS BULLYING, CYBER-BULLYING, & THREAT REPORTING
May ISD students can anonymously report incidences of bullying, cyber-bullying, and threats by accessing the May ISD STOPit Solutions reporting website link. Important: The access code required to make an anonymous report is: maytigers. The STOPit mobile app is also available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices.
Other safety concerns such as threats, at-risk behavior, such as self-harm, substance abuse, vaping, etc., can also be identified and reported.
IMPORTANT: IF THERE IS AN IMMINENT, IMMEDIATE THREAT AND/OR RISK OF VIOLENCE, PLEASE CONTACT LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IMMEDIATELY.
THREAT ASSESSMENT TEAM REPORTING
As part of the program, the May ISD Threat Assessment Team has been formed to assess and perform inquiries, as required by the Texas Education Agency, into threats of violence toward the District as a whole, as well as to any student, faculty, or staff of May ISD. Reporting such at-risk behavior(s) can be done anonymously by using STOPit Solutions, but please keep in mind in that the more specific and detailed a report is, the more effective it will be at assessing and helping everyone involved. Click here to submit a report directly to the May ISD Threat Assessment Team.
IMPORTANT: IF THERE IS AN IMMINENT, IMMEDIATE THREAT AND/OR RISK OF VIOLENCE, PLEASE CONTACT LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IMMEDIATELY.
iWATCH TEXAS COMMUNITY REPORTNG SYSTEM
